1925 Crosley Super Trirdyn Special

Photo contributed by M. Baros, Colorado.

This set contained three tubes, probably type 01A, but other types would have worked equally well. The circuit was an Armstrong regenerative circuit with two stages of audio frequency amplification. It was battery powered, as most sets were in 1925, the cabinet was made out of solid mahogany, and it sold for $60.

These Crosley Musicone speakers were the type normally sold with the Super Trirdyn Special. A full ad for these speakers is contained in the "Tube Box Art, Labels, and Advertising" section of this site.
