The model 605 is a six tube, two band, battery powered superheterodyne. The batteries required are : one two volt storage or air cell battery, three 45 volt "B" batteries, and two 4.5 volt "C" batteries.

The cabinet on the left is the model 605-C, having a sales model name of "Battery Sixty-Two." The cabinet on the right is the model 605-BG, having a sales model name of "Battery Sixty-Two A." The cabinet on the right was also used in the model 535-BH, having a sales model name of "Battery Fifty-Two A".
