124 Chassis

The 124 chassis was used in seven different style cabinets that I am aware of. The only difference in the Playtime and consoles Vs. the cathedrals is that a larger diameter speaker was used in the Playtime and consoles. The following pictures show what the chassis looks like in four different cabinets, including the Playtime, Merry Maker, and two different Playboy cathedral cabinets. After you finish looking at these, select the following link to read an excerpt from an original sales brochure for the 124 series:

124 Merry Maker Chassis

Note that both of these use the same speaker.

Both of the following are Playboy cathedrals, with two different cabinet styles. Note that the smaller speaker is the only difference between both of these Vs the Playtime and Merry Maker.

Trish,

The 124 chassis is the same, regardless of what cabinet it comes out of. The larger diameter of the speaker used in the Playtime and consoles is the only difference.

The best solution would be for you to find a chassis from another Playtime or one of the 124 consoles, but this is not likely. You can also use a chassis and speaker from one of the 124 cathedrals. An adapter plate made out of a piece of wood, combined with extending the wires to the speaker would enable the smaller speaker to be used in the Playtime.

     Good Luck.
